An architect was sought for the revitalization of an existing building as part of a multiple assignment. Three renowned architectural firms were invited to submit various designs and concepts for the project as well as the optimal solution for the client. Following a careful preliminary examination and evaluation of the submitted designs, an architectural firm was selected after the jury meeting to take over the planning and implementation phase of the project.
Challenges
A central element of the project was the development of a high-quality facade that blends in with the high-quality surrounding buildings. The facade was to impress with its choice of materials, attention to detail and aesthetic design, while also meeting functional requirements such as energy efficiency and durability. Other challenging aspects included solving the access and delivery situation and dealing with the central location in the city center.
Added value
Even before the purchase process by Avila, albrings + müller ag supported the client with service development services. Based on the established trust, albrings + müller ag was commissioned with the further procedure of the multiple commissioning. In the competition process, which was individually tailored to the client and the project requirements, an optimal winning design was selected and the corresponding planning office was commissioned smoothly.
